Care

Due to the non-porous surface of the finish, there is no need to use abrasive cleaners on refinished bathtubs. Any household liquid detergent will give excellent results. To remove mineral stains, use a mild acid solution such as a liquid bowl cleaner. All organic coatings must cure. They start to cure at the time of application and must cure for a total of approximately two (2) days. Use is allowed twenty-four (24) hours after the job is complete. Care instructions are provided below or download them in this adobe pdf file.

1. Do NOT use the surface for the specified number of days or hours indicated by the refinisher who completed the job.

2. Do NOT use bathmats with suctions underneath and do NOT attach non-skid stickers on bathtubs.

3. Do NOT pick surface dust off with your finger. Any surface dust will dissipate in 3-4 weeks normal cleaning and usage.

4. Use ONLY the following approved cleansers:
Lysol Basin and Tile Cleaner™
Mr. Clean™
DOW™
Fantastic™ or 409™
Liquid AJAX™

5. Do NOT use:
Abrasive cleaners
ANY cleaners with bleach or chlorine
S.O.S. Pads™
Comet™
Soft Scrub™
Kaboom™

6. Have leaky faucets repaired. Over a long period of time, the resurfaced sink or tub will erode (as will ceramic or porcelain).

7. If a chip occurs or if a scratch causes peeling, apply clear nail polish and call SURFACE EFFECTS, INC. or if you are in an apartment community, report it to the rental office.
